About Me.
I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, sharing a beautiful life with my younger brother, Andrew, and our loving parents who continue to inspire me with how fully they live. My passion for mental health and addiction care began with Andrew’s struggle with drug addiction and mood disorder. As difficult as it was to witness, I poured my heart into fighting for his health—and through that, I discovered my calling. We tragically lost Andrew in 2020 to a motorcycle accident, but his spirit lives on with me daily and continues to guide the work I do.

Helping others in moments of crisis has always been in my blood. Even as a young girl, I would drop everything to be at my grandparents’ side when they were ill. In nursing school, my most memorable clinical experience was sitting with a young woman—her high school’s homecoming queen the week before—who was facing her first psychotic break. That experience, and her ultimate diagnosis of schizophrenia, cemented my belief that psychiatric nursing was more than just a role—it was a purpose.
My nursing journey began in Labor & Delivery, then grew deeper in the Emergency Department after moving to Tallahassee. There, I found my true passion: caring for acute psychiatric patients on their hardest days. This path naturally led me into Emergency Psychiatry, where I felt everything had come full circle.

I went on to earn board certification in Psychiatric Mental Health and set out to build something I had always dreamed of—a concierge psychiatric practice dedicated to giving patients and families the focused time, compassion, and expertise they deserve. That dream is now Serene Restoration. Every day, I am honored to walk alongside individuals and families as they face mental illness and addiction with courage and hope.

Outside of my professional life, I have been married for 30 years to the most supportive husband, who has never wavered in his encouragement. Together we raised two incredible sons, Carter and Campbell, who are the loves of our lives. Our family is growing, and we are overjoyed to welcome a beloved daughter-in-law in June 2026. After moving to Tallahassee in 2017, we quickly knew this was our forever home. Now as empty nesters, we share our days with our cherished fur babies—Chowder, Barley, Duke, and Jimmy—who keep our home full of joy.

It is both my personal journey and my professional passion that fuel my work at Serene Restoration. I would be honored to help you or your loved one on the path toward healing.
